Theme: The Path of Wind: Currents and Crossroads in Asia
Award: Excellent Award – ANBD 2025 Jeju Special Exhibition
Year: 2025

Description:
Paths Unseen visualizes the hidden currents—both natural and cultural—that shape movement across Asia. The artwork reimagines Jeju’s volcanic landscapes as towering pillars emerging from swirling, wind-like waves. The circular motion above suggests an unseen force pulling everything toward a shared center, representing how invisible cultural winds connect people across borders.

The strong contrast between the dark structures and light, flowing textures evokes the tension between permanence and fluidity—solid histories standing within constantly shifting currents. The piece captures the feeling of traveling through uncharted spaces, guided not by visible roads but by intuition, memory, and unseen forces.

Artist’s Intent:
Through abstract forms and dynamic motion, the work expresses how individuals navigate identity, heritage, and change. Even when the path is not visible, the currents beneath us quietly lead us forward.

Exhibition Context:
Presented at the ANBD 2025 Jeju Special Exhibition, the work was honored with the Excellent Award for its conceptual depth, visual impact, and interpretation of the theme.
